ABOUT US
Welcome to Almekkawy Lab (UIT)
This lab covers various aspects of imaging and therapy with ultrasound systems. The lab research span across 4-interrelated sub-areas of ultrasound applications. The sub areas are: ultrasound tomography, speckle tracking (elastography), high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) and signal processing. Our goal is to utilize these areas to develop novel methods toward the image guided therapy applications.

Current research interests include signal processing, ultrasound tomography, 2D speckle tracking, elastography, high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) and optimization in biomedical ultrasonics and medical devices applications.
