Note: you need to use machines in 218 IST to connect to the database.
· Open a new terminal and use the following command to establish a connection
mysql -h chunk -u %username% -p
where the %username% is your psu account.
· You will be prompted to input password, which should be emailed to you earlier. You can change your pass word by:
set password = password("%your new password%")
· Now the command prefix should begin with ">mysql", choose a database before any action, using the following commands:
use %database name%
· Now you are ready to use the My SQL. Note that each statement must end with a semicolon.
