I am a PhD candidate (Fall 2006 - present) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University.
I work in the Scientific Computing Lab and Dr. Padma Raghavan is my academic advisor.
I hail from the royal city of Mysore, tucked away in the south of India. All my schooling happened at the Demonstration Multipurpose School, Mysore, where I spent the most memorable time of my life. As most teenagers in India I decided to take on engineering as my career and joined the National Institute of Engineering also in Mysore. After my undergraduate studies I worked with Wipro Technologies for 4 years where I was involved in the design and implementation of WiproWebsecure4.1, an identity management product.
I have interned as a Givens Associate at Argonne National Lab through the summer of 2010 and 2011. During my internship I was advised my Dr. Boyana Norris. My work involved performance analysis of parallel scientific applications. I developed an alias analysis framework and integrated it with the PBound tool. I also was involed in the analysis of certain PetSc applications to predict their performance using static program analysis.
I am currently looking for postdoctoral positions in the field of high performance computing (HPC) and sparse scientific computing, as well as performance modeling, analysis, optimization and fault tolerance in HPC.
