Welcome to the lab, this lab covers various aspects of imaging and therapy with ultrasound phased-array systems. The lab research span across some interrelated sub-areas of ultrasound imaging and signal processing techniques in addition to distributed computational models. The primary research interests are focused on the area of numerical modeling and signal processing on ultrasound application and its implementation on FPGA, more specifically, the wave propagation in complex media, optimized refocusing algorithms with applications to imaging, therapy, estimation of the blood flow and tissue deformation. In addition, the research will be focused on the construction of efficient and robust techniques to determine the material characteristics and early detection of tumor. The goal is to develop and integrate new image-guidance modes with high specificity to tissue changes in response to ultrasound beams.
