Past Projects
  • [2004.12~2006.7]Active Phone Book (APB):
The founder and original creator of APB project. It is the first service deployed in IP MultiMedia Subsystem (IMS) of Lucent Technologies. It is intended to be a dynamic address-book that enhances the existing address book software that is already supported by various handsets in use today, and supplements these handset capabilities through interactions with a network hosted server and through the seamless incorporation of dynamic presence information in the presentation of various contacts to the end-user using the handset. APB implements the GLMS (Group List Management Server) and RLS (Resource List Server) capabilities defined in the 3GPP and IETF standards bodies respectively and interfaces seamlessly to the standards defined Presence Server entity. Cingular Wireless bought it.

  • [2004.8~2004.12]My Video Portal (MVP):
The founder and original creator of MVP project, which allows wireless customers, with appropriate handsets capable of handling multimedia (audio/video) data, to view streaming multimedia content.

  • [2003.7~2004.9]My Ring Back Tone (MiRing):
The founder of MiRing project, which provides the ability to replace the normal audible ringing, that callers hear when placing phone calls, with an alternate tone. Verizon Wireless bought it.

  • [3/2002~6/2003]Peking University Application Server (PKUAS):
One of the founders of PKUAS, which is a J2EE-compliant application server that is the platform including J2SE, common services and one or both of Web Container and EJB Container. It has many innovations, including performance optimization of micro-kernel, customizable interoperability framework on demand of clients, software architecture based reflection, architecture based deployment, self-optimizing, self-healing, and so on. Particularly, some distinguished features are not specific to PKUAS, that is to say, they can be applied to other J2EE application servers or other types of middleware. It is founded by The National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program) "Domain Oriented Component Operating Platform (DOCOP)" (2001.10 ~ 2003.12), Contract No.2001AA110236.

  • [9/2002~6/2003]Container Managed Persistence (CMP):
The founder and original creator of CMP project, which is part of PKUAS project, following the contract of J2EE 2.0. We can make EJB more flexible and more portable across all compliant EJB Containers by using our CMP system. Our central idea is to use static way instead of dynamic way that is used in "JBoss" product. So our CMP is simpler and steadier

Work Experience
  • [7/2003~7/2006] Senior technical engineer in Network Solution Group of Bell Labs at Lucent Technologies, Beijing. Research and implement the prototype of network services.

  • [4/2003~6/2003] Intern in the IBM China Company Limited. Develop "WebSphere Application Server".

  • [3/2002~6/2003] Research Assistant in Peking University-Bell Labs Joint Lab, Software Engineering Institute, Peking University. Research middleware and component

Honors
  • [04/2005] Award for APB Project Development in Bell Lab

  • [04/2004] Award for MiRing Project Development in Bell Lab

  • [11/2001] CANON Excellent Scholarship, CANON Corporation

Hobby
  • Tennis, Level 4.

  • The game of GO, Second Dan Grading
