My research interests are in the design, implementation, and evaluation of
operating systems, distributed systems, and storage systems.
Some research problems I am currently exploring are: (i) design of virtualization and operating systems mechanisms for managing performance, power consumption, and operational costs in large-scale computing/storage platforms, (ii) employing Flash memory to design next-generation enterprise-scale storage, and (iii) modeling and synthesis of workloads seen by modern/emerging server & high-performance applications. More details on my current and past research may be found in my publications. Also check out the CSL Web site.
