Professor Yuan Xie Receives IBM Faculty Award
Professor Yuan Xie received an IBM Faculty Award in May 2008.
According to IBM’s web site, the IBM Faculty Award is a competitive, worldwide program intended to: 1) Foster collaboration between researchers at leading universities worldwide and those in IBM research, development and services organizations; and 2) Promote courseware and curriculum innovation to stimulate growth in disciplines and geographies that are strategic to IBM. The candidates must have an outstanding reputation for contributions in their field or, in the case of junior faculty, show unusual promise.
Xie will receive $40,000 to continue collaboration on Three-dimensional(3D) Integrated Circuits (IC) Design.
