Professor Patrick McDaniel and His Students Receive Best Paper Award at ACSAC 2009

The paper "Semantically Rich Application-Centric Security in Android" written by Machigar Ongtang, Stephen McLaughlin, William Enck, and Patrick McDaniel won the best paper award at the Annual Computer Security Applications Conference (ACSAC) 2009 held in Hawaii in December 2009.  According to the ACSAC conference web site, there were 44 papers accepted at this conference, representing an acceptance rate of lower than 20 percent.  It was stated that this was a record year for the conference, with both the largest number of papers ever submitted and the lowest acceptance rate!

Ongtang, McLaughlin, and Enck are all supervised by Professor Patrick McDaniel.  Congratulations to the authors of the paper!
