Professor Mahmut Kandemir Receives a Best Paper Award at PDCCS-2009

Mahmut Kandemir, together with his former student Seung Woo Son (now at Argonne National Lab) and current students Yuanrui Zhang and Rajat Garg, received the "Best Paper Award" at the International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Computing and Communication Systems (PDCCS-2009) for the paper titled "Topology-Aware I/O Caching for Shared Storage Systems."  The conference was held on September 24-26, 2009 in Louisville, Kentucky.
