Professor Chita R. Das Named as Distinguished Professor of CSE
Chita R. Das,
a faculty member in computer science and engineering, was named a
distinguished professor of computer science and engineering by Penn
State President Graham Spanier.
Established by the Office of the President, the title of distinguished
professor recognizes a select group of professors who have achieved
exceptional accomplishments in teaching, research and service.
A faculty member since 1986, Chita's research interests include
computer architecture, parallel and distributed computing, cluster
systems, network-on-chip (NoC) architectures, Internet QoS, mobile
computing, performance evaluation, fault-tolerant computing, and
multimedia systems. He has served on the editorial board of IEEE Transactions on Computers and IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems.
Das is a Fellow of the IEEE and a member of the ACM.
