Password Policy/ Resets/ Lockouts

All CSE users will receive notification starting 14 days prior to their password expiration date.  These notifications will continue until the date that the password expires.  Passwords can be changed at any CSE Windows or linux machine or, when on the PSU Network, by visiting https://replace.cse.psu.edu  (You cannot change your CSE password if it is set to force you to change it.  If it is not set to force you to change it, you will need to set up security questions when you first log in before you can change your CSE password if you have not already set up security questions).

If you have forgotten your CSE password, please come to the W113, W114, W115, W116 or W118 with your PSU ID, Monday - Friday 8a - 4:30p, and someone from CSE IT Staff will be happy to assist you in resetting your password.  Please do the same, if your account has been disabled. 

Your account will automatically lock out after 3 incorrect password attempts.  The account will automatically unlock after 15 minutes has passed.   If you do not wish to wait for the account to unlock or cannot remember your password, please come to the W113, W114, W115, W116 or W118 with your PSU ID to have the account password reset.
