Chita R. Das received the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Regional Engineering College, Rourkela, India, in 1981, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Center for Advanced Computer Studies, University of Louisiana, Lafayette, in 1986. Since 1986, he has been with the Pennsylvania State University, where he is currently a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. His main areas of interest are parallel and distributed computing, cluster computing, mobile computing, Internet QoS, multimedia systems, performance evaluation, and fault-tolerant computing. He is currently an Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Computers and has served on the Editorial Board of the IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems. Dr. Das is a Fellow of the
IEEE and a member of the ACM.

Xidong Deng (xdeng@cse.psu.edu)

Xidong Deng received her B.S. degree in Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), Hefei, P.R.China in 1999. Her research interests are in the areas of Computer Networks, with emphasis on Internet Flow control and QoS, Network Security, and Mobile Computing. She is a student memeber of ACM and IEEE.

Deniz Ersoz (ersoz@cse.psu.edu)

My home country is Turkey. I am currently a PhD student at Computer Science and Engineering Department of PennState University. I received my B.S. degree from Computer Science Department of Bilkent University.

My research interests are in Applications of User Level Communication in Cluster Systems and Peer to Peer Computing.

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, The Pennsylvania State University, University Park.   I received  Master degree from Dept. of  Computer Science Chung-Nam National University, Korea, in 1997.My research interests are Cluster computers, Web cluster systems and Coscheduling

  Jongman Kim (jmkim@cse.psu.edu)

Jongman Kim is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the High Performance Computing Laboratory at Pennsylvania State University. His primary area of research is in applying interconnection networks for System-On-Chip applications. Other research interests include network-centric cluster, power management and fault tolerant systems, micro-architectures and VLSI cooperation, and parallel computer architectures. In his earlier graduate student years with master program, he studied on the MPLS, Internet protocols and their implementation. Before joining the Pennsylvania State University, he had worked LG Electronics for 7 years as a hardware designer for AMPS(EIA/TIA-553), CDMA(IS-95) cellular phone and wireless internet platform.  

  Sun-Ho Lim (slim@cse.psu.edu)

Sunho Lim is a Ph.D. candidate in the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, The Pennsylvania State University, University Park.   He received his B.S. degree from Dept. of  Computer Science and M.S. degree from  Dept. of Computer Engineering from Hankuk Aviation University (HAU), Korea, in 1996 and 1998, respectively.   His research interests are in the areas of wireless/mobile networks with emphasis on the QoS provisioning, location/mobility management, wireless LAN,  Internet-based mobile ad hoc network, and mobile data management.  He was a recipient of the teaching assistant award of the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University in 2002.   He is a student member of IEEE.

Sungwon Yi (syi at cse dot psu dot edu)

Sungwon Yi is a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the Pennsylvania State University. His research interests include the areas of Computer Networks, with emphasis on Internet congestion control and QoS, Network Security (DoS, WORM defense mechanism), and Mobile Computing. He received B.E. degree from the Department of Information and Control Engineering, Kwangwoon University in Korea 1995, and M.S. degree from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the Pennsylvania State University in 2004. Before joining the Pennsylvania State University, he had worked at LG-CNS (former LG-EDS) for 3 and half years as a system engineer. He is a student member of IEEE.

Dongkook Park (dpark@cse.psu.edu)

Dongkook Park is a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the Pennsylvania State University. He received his B.S. degree and M.S. degree from the Dept. of Electrical & Computer Engineering at University of Seoul, Korea in 2000 and 2002 respectively. His major research interests include the on-chip interconnection (NoC, Network-on-Chip) and expecially on router design and simulator design.
