Keyboard - CTK 651
Back home in Calcutta I have a 61-key Casio CTK 651 Keyboard (which is currently gathering dust). This one is 8 years old now, a very precious gift from my father at that time and in that context, and most certainly the best gift I have ever received.
Keyboard - WK 3200
Here in Pennsylvania, I have a 76-key CASIO WK 3200 Keyboard. With this one, we can forget about Casio's past reputation in keyboards. I researched a lot before buying this one, and therefore can safely recommend it as great value for money.
Acoustic Steel String - Braganza & Co.
I have a hand-made Rosewood jumbo acoustic guitar (plywood top, no cutaway) from Braganza & Co., in my hometown Calcutta, who sell under the brand name TrueTone. On my first trip to the US in August 2004, I tugged it along in-flight.
Acoustic Steel String - Alvarez
In 2007, I bought an Alvarez RD20SC acoustic-electric guitar, which is a cutaway dreadnought with Mahogany sides, a solid Sitka Spruce top, Rosewood fingerboard, with in-built tuner (awesome!) and pickup.
Desktop Speakers - Harmon Kardon Soundsticks II
I am a happy owner of the Harman Kardon Soundsticks II, a 2.1 standalone, plug and play multimedia speaker system with high clarity audio output for diverse genre of music. The bass is not the best I have heard, so this may not be suitable for heavy metal listening.
Headphones - Senheiser PX 100
I really like my Sennheiser PX-100 headphones, and strongly recommend this to anyone interested in a collapsible/foldable, lightweight design that produce excellent treble, and bass like the heavy circumaural headphones. Great sound, great design.
